Breaking Bread Chemistry

Welcome to the "Breaking Bread Chemistry" Blog!
Greetings fellow Blogger,
I'm Dr. Bert J. Exsted and I teach Organic Chemistry at Shorter University, a Christian university. I've entitled this blog, "Breaking Bread Chemistry" in that Jesus often broke bread in fellowship with his disciples. As a follower of Jesus, I consider it part of my vocation to symbolically 'break bread' via fellowship with those interested in Chemistry as well.
A few years back, a popular cable television series entitled, "Breaking Bad" took to the airwaves and unraveled a fictitious story about a high school Chemistry teacher whose life took a wrong pathway and he and those around him became entwined in drugs, murder, and mayhem. This Blog and my efforts herein directly oppose such negative activities and therefore it has positively been entitled, "Breaking Bread Chemistry".
Periodically, I'll post various Chemistry-related topics and/or updates of activities. If a posting happens to reveal someone's photo and identity, I would kindly ask you to respect that is should remain private and not enter the public-domain of Google images or other social media. Please be aware that I have attained written permission to post these pictures; however, you do NOT have the same permission from me as the overseer of this blog. And, on that note, I'm done with my first blog entry.
Dr. Bert J. Exsted
A Chemistry Teacher
